About Us
100 Years of Helping Humboldt County!
about us:
The Humboldt Association of Realtors® is a trade association representing more than 455 Realtors® in Humboldt County.
The Eureka Real Estate Board was formally organized on January 25th, 1922 and chartered on May 30th of the same year. With a founding membership of 9 Brokers and 14 sales agents, the Association has grown to a current membership of 455 Realtors®, 35 MLS only agents, and 95 Affiliate members.
Under the direction of our Directors, the Humboldt Association of Realtors® provides education and support to our Realtor® members. REALTORS® are held to a higher code of ethics and education requirements than real estate professionals. This is why we promote the Realtor® brand encouraging education and ethics. In conjunction with the California Association of Realtor's® and the National Association of Realtors® we advocate for fair, affordable, and accessible housing and property rights.
Our REALTORS® not only help Humboldt County achieve their dream of home ownership, but also actively participate in the community. Our committees help raise funds for local initiatives, advocate for property rights, and donate to our youth. In partnership with business affiliates, HAR has the opportunity to add value to the community by providing community service and promoting quality of life for REALTORS® and residents alike.

Why Use a REALTOR®
Unlike many real estate agents who are simply licensed by their state to do business, Realtors® have taken additional steps to become members of the local Association of Realtors and have agreed to act under and adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.
This membership obligates them to be fair to all parties involved in a real estate transaction, be it buyer, seller or cooperating agent. Be sure your real estate agent is a REALTOR®.
